State of Our Streams. Breann Hohman, watershed coordinator of the
Firelands Coastal Tributaries, showcases local streams through images
of beauty and disaster to show how unique and fragile our natural
areas are. State of Our Streams also provides a light-hearted discussion
linking our actions to water quality issues and what we can do to
improve our streams. Please join us for this presentation and discussion.

Movie Night! Dirt! The Movie - March 30th, 6pm - 7:30pm
Come enjoy a movie on us! Winner of several awards including an award

Tribs Team Volunteer Stream Monitoring Training - April 10th,

Do you want to be a volunteer stream monitor? We will be holding a
training for our volunteer monitoring program for instruction on chemical
water sampling protocol and macroinvertebrate sampling and identification.

Rain Gardens: Stream and Lake Friendly Landscaping - April 13th 6pm-8pm
Areas landscaped with perennial native plants that don't mind getting
"wet feet", rain gardens are an attractive way to reduce
the impact of stormwater on streams and Lake Erie. Rain gardens are
designed to capture and filter stormwater runoff from impervious surfaces
such as rooftops and driveways. Learn about these systems and take
home a guidebook containing information on how to select a site, a
design, and plant your own!
